Top handling tyre

I have just wore out my 6th Fusion 3. The corner handling grip and hold smoothness was excellent on many 55kph hair pins on descents. Usually did 4500km on rears and about 6000km on fronts. Tyre fits easily and straight and the last set did not fray on the edges as much as the first set did. Have also run Mich Pro3 and Pro4, Rubinos, Mavic Aksium and Contis. I like the Fusion3 kevlar best..

I had been buying these tyres for some years and had been reasonably happy with them. More recently though I had become suspicious that the quality had declined. The tyres seemed to wear quicker and cut more readily. Even so I was surprised at some of the bad reviews. However, like some of the reviewers I had the sidewall blow out on me after only about 500 klms of use. Fortunately it was the rear tyre so I was able to control the bike. I no longer use these tyres.

Confused!

Have run Fusion 2's for years and never had a problem, the Fusion 3's have been on 3 weeks and I have just replaced them... Hole in the front after puncturing and the rear has split. Not happy! Either just unlucky or not the same quality.

If you enjoy the sensation of sliding along the bitumen while watching the flesh being shaved from your body then this is the tyre for you. To my horror, I read numerous reviews whilst waiting for my tyres to arrive and most said the same thing: these tyres are not structurally sound. The sidewalls blow out - as I soon discovered. I installed my tyres and rode no more than 500 metres before the front tyre blew off the rim and sent me hurtling across the road. Two broken ribs and six weeks off work. You decide for yourself. I threw them in the bin as soon as I was transported home by a concerned onlooker.

just love these

I have been riding on a set of these tyres all season long and just can't stop raving about them. I am aggressive in the corners and I have never had to worry about them sliding out on me, even in damp conditions. The ride is smooth and comfortable.

I am surprised that with a full season in them they are still looking good with less than normal wear in my opinion. I will be getting another set of these when I need to.
