Shamal Mille, Campagnolo's most sought-after aluminium wheelset now features a C17 rim so the wheels can be fitted with wider and more comfortable tyres. This means better reactivity and an improved riding experience. The wheels are very lightweight despite the extra 2 mm added onto the profile.
Looks matter too! The ceramic coating on the braking rim coupled with the black self-locking nipples make Shamal Mille the coolest wheel in the entire Campagnolo range. As pointed out by bicycle racers the braking rim's spiral effect facilitates late, modular and safe braking, particularly in wet conditions.
Features:
Light & Reactive
- Every gram matters. The differentiated deep-section rims make the Shamal Mille an incredibly light wheel
- The aluminium spokes with aerodynamic profile make the wheel extremely reactive while also making it lightweight
- The oversize flange on the drive side perfects torque transmission, boosting reactivity whenever the cyclist changes pace
Extremely smooth rolling action
- USB bearings guarantee smooth rolling performance that's twice as superior to the regular bearings currently being sold on the market
- The carbon-fibre hub body reduces weight to a minimum and provides a high degree of lateral stiffness
Elegant & Powerful
- The Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation finish gives these wheels a unique and distinctive total black look.
- The new braking rim allows reduced stopping distances even in adverse conditions
- The surface of the brake pad contact area offers outstanding brake modulation

CAMPAGNOLO SHAMAL MILLE C17 CLINCHER WHEELSET
High quality! Exactly what I expected!!! Incredible shipping time and customer service was so loyal and kind. It's a pity for colombian buyers being like blocked, so I had to do it through USA.

Breaking surface shamal meile
Love the wheels when new and very stiff and solid , major let down is the breaking track surface , any sort of wet weather the dirt and grime from the surface destroys the black rim under breaking and removes the black stain to show the silver rim underneath . In my view it takes away that stealth look , thought campagnolo would have sorted the issue by now

Fast good looking wheels
I’ve been using this wheelset for about 6 months; roll great, feel great and look great. They are quite pricey but definitely worthy if you are looking for an almost ‘top-end’ alum wheels that blend with the black finish they have.

Ok but disappointed
Good rolling performance, very quiet hub and generally well made wheels. However, after very few rides, the pads are half worn and, shockingly, the wheel braking surface is already discoloring. Very disappointed. I would have expected far more from a wheel like this and from using so expensive and soft pads, whose main purpose is to preserve the wheel color integrity.

Shamal Mille
I've replaced an old set of Shamal Ultras and was tempted to get the same again. I decided to for Mille instead and I'm delighted with the decision. They look awesome, ride exceptionally well and braking is impressive.

Shamal Mille
Fantastic wheels: light, smooth and fast, but the best part of these wheels is their braking . . . with Campy Record rim brakes, the brakes stop these wheels as good or better than disc brakes . . . dry or wet. A real difference for the real world, as brakind confidence = speed on the downhills!

Two thumbs up! P.S. (One more thought)
I forgot to mention the quality of the braking on these rims. Wet or dry, the stopping quality is almost akin to disc brakes. I was shocked. Rode for an hour today in a driving rainstorm, remnants of Hurricane Harvey heading up the U.S. East Coast, and the braking never suffered even a little bit. I have Campy Record brakes with their proprietary blue brake pads, which I've read wear out too quickly for some people, but let me tell you, if I have to buy brake pads a little more frequently to get this type of strong, firm stopping power from a set of rim brake wheels even in extremely wet, driving rain conditions, sign me up!!

Shamal Mille
Round and black with amazing bearings. Cosmetically great and light. It says Campagnolo on them too. Nothing better for the money in my opinion.

Look great....for a while...
I wanted a strong set of wheels for climbing days, when I didn't want to use my deep carbon clinchers. After searching around for a while, I bought these as they seemed like great value and exactly what I was looking for performance wise. When they arrived and I fitted them with S Works cotton turbo tyres, I couldn't believe how cool they looked. They also perform fantastically on the road, good weight, very stiff and responsive with great quality hubs. Perfect. However.... the finish on the breaking surfaces is extremely thin and WILL come off! I have done less that 500 miles in dry weather only, removing and cleaning the pads after every ride. Cleaning the bike today I have noticed a few sections where the finish is coming off, as well as a few scratches. God knows how they got there either as I really baby this bike. Such a shame as they're great wheels, although the finish doesn't effect the performance as such, it really runs the look. The finish isn't covered by warranty so its tough luck. Go for Mavic if you want lasting aesthetic appeal. Performance wise, these are still great wheels though.

Shamal Mille are amazing.
Super light, stiff, responsive, and trustworthy!!! I received them a week prior to completing my my century, The Death Ride(Tour of California Alps - 15,000 feet of climbing for 129 miles). Temps were up around 105 degrees. These rims performed perfectly.
