As good as alloy bars get?

I remember when the 200 gram crop of alloy drop bars first hit the market. They were very expensive and a great bit of bling for the special bike in your life.
Now the very same bars are very inexpensive (and unfashionably skinny where the stem clamps) but no less good than they were 15 years ago. Recently I needed to replace the bar tape on my bike. I realised that these bars were at least 50000 miles old. I replaced the bars instead with Deda 215. The anatomic bend suits me, the bars are quite stiff, the logo is sharp looking, I removed a bit of weight in the change and they steer the bike. What more could you want for not much money?
