Warm, well-fitting, with prominent reflective patches
Visibility – It appears to be difficult to find long tights with significant reflective elements, but these have a decent section about 12cm long, circumferencing the leg just below the knee. They have caught my eye a few times with light shining on them, and they are very reflective Comfort – Very comfortable – nice wide shoulder straps, no scratchy seams, and not super-tight around the ankles. Chamois is comfortable too, and uninhibiting. Minimum temp - wore it in –4C, and it was comfortable. Started to feel the wind a little pushing past 40kph, but no chill due to the microfleece lining, and legs stayed warm and cosy. After 30 minutes it was still breathing well too, and I wasn't even close to sweaty, even after a hill Maximum temp - wore it in 8C , and at moderate intensity they started to feel too hot after 10 minutes! Rain - Kept me dry in light showers for 10 minutes, and I could see the rain sitting on top. After that they started to wet out and I could feel the rain as it hit them, but they weren't cold for the remainder 20 minutes (in 1C), due to the fleece lining.
Should be toasty warm
I bought these for fall and early winter. Right now it's summertime so I'll have to wait to give them a proper review. They fit as described and feel like they should be perfect for cool weather riding!
Warm and comfy
I was reluctant to submit a review when I’’d only worn these as a base layer at -25 degrees. When it warmed up to 32 F (0 C), they were warm on their own. The reflective portion just below the knee is not as warm as the rest, but they are still great - warm and wind-resistant, with a confortable “chamois”.
I was hesitant to review these when I had only worn them as a base layer at -25 degrees F (-32 C). Today it warmed up to +40 F (+4 C) and I wore them as my only layer on a foggy day, with snow both melting and sublimating. The reflective strip below the knee was a bit cooler than the rest, but they were warm and comfy. Now I can recommend them without hesitation!
