Essential for electrolyte replacement

This is by far my favourite drink during rides. The problem with all the other brands I tried is way too much flavour and and too much colour.
Nuun is the only one that doesn't overwhem my tastebuds, and doesn't turn my water into a rainbow colour when fully dissolved.

I use this in conjunction with flavourless carb powder. That's a winning combination.

I have tried most of the flavours, and Lemon Tea is my favourite so far.

Perfect for staying hydrated on long rides

Nuun Active Hydration tablets are a handy way of taking on board electrolytes on your ride without the extra calories found in most sports drinks and powders. Although that might sound a little counter-intuitive – you need calories on long rides – we've consumed far more bottles of Nuun than carbohydrate drink in training this year.

We've found Nuun best for the first part of a 4-5 hour ride, when breakfast is still settling and we're not quite ready to start on the sugary stuff. We tested Nuun in the UK winter (unfortunately it doesn't prevent bottle-freezing) and the much warmer Australian summer. We found it kicked our thirst mechanism into gear, meaning that we'd drink more on a long ride than if we'd just had water.

As a result we weren't as dehydrated at the end of the ride and could recover better for the next day. The tablets come in small plastic tubes containing 12 tablets each. It's recommended you dissolve one per 500mL bottle (in 750mL is fine of course, just a little more dilute). The tubes are small so you can easily carry them to use for a mid-ride bottle refill.
