Not for "extreme" cold, but good for many conditions

I use these in Toronto (Canada) for commuting (20 mins each way) and for fall, winter, and spring mountain bike riding. For short commutes these are almost always fine, even at ten below zero (celsius). And they actually breath--so you don't get clammy feet. For longer sub-freezing rides I sometimes put overshoes on top. I've used these a lot over the last 5 months. Happy so far. Only one issue: a tear at the opening of the neoprene sleeve. Doesn't seem to affect performance, and hasn't grown at all in months, but it's not nice to see that kind of damage in the first few months of riding. At the right price, though? I'd buy these again.

Underwhelmed

These are a quality pair of shoes and the sizing is consistent with Northwaves I have purchased in the past 6 years. They are smaller on the outer dimensions than my old winter Northwave from years ago but the Extreme version is not as warm as my old boots are. They are lighter than the old winter boots but harder to get on and off due to the upper material around the ankle. For me these boots fail at anything below 0C to keep the feet warm were my old winter boots are good to -5C no problems. Guess these boots will be okay for harder training sessions above 0 when the time comes.
