The Castelli Fast Feet TT Shoe-Cover is designed for maximum aerodynamics in time trialling, within the limits of the UCI rules. These shoecovers have been well tested and used by the team in many of the individual and team trials and will be worn this year by our new team rider and current World Time Trial Champion - Rohan Dennis.
Castelli developed the shoecover through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis followed by extensive fabric and on-bike wind tunnel testing. The smooth silicone-coated foot portion smooths out the shape of the foot, while the grooved leg portion helps to detach the air as it flows around the leg. The shoe cover is cut high, reaching to the calf.
There's no reason not to wear it on the road, but its gains are maximized at TT speeds.
