Excellent

Easy to use and no problems if you have a strong signal from the speed sensor. Has a long battery life. Once calibrated just push the button once to wake the sensor up and ride. Just need those numbers to climb...but I think that's up to me!

Great device

5

This power meter was easy to fit and easy to pair with garmin gps. At a fraction of the cost of other power meters it gives a very good measure of the power being expended. Very happy with the device and it is now much easier to gauge the effort being put in. Overall a very good addition to any bike.

Powerpod

As a user of the ibike Newton , the Powerpod meets my needs for a power meter. Using the go pro mount I have a wide choice of accessories to choose from. Support from the manufacturer of the product is excellent with updates available for my ibike Newton and the Powerpod.

Do I Need A Power Meter

5

After researching the market for as few months and playing with the idea of a power meter, I made the plunge. This review is really in two parts... Do I need a power meter, that is a whole other story. My requirements were to have a power meter that collected accurately related data. The accuracy of the power not so important but to signal and collected the data in relationship to my effort both current and past was important. To this end is a great tool and does exactly what it says. The addition of a power meter is a great additional metric as this one measures the difference in my efforts, and am really happy with the purchase. Concerns I had "Will the unit get in the way" . No it is tucked away. "Is it easy to install". I have an old Garmin 500 and it was easy "Is it accurate". Not too sure as there is nothing to compare it to, but it gives me relative power which is perfect. "Why is it so cheap". Uses a different technology. "It looks a bit bulky". Look at the price difference and everyone asks what it is... I am glad I took the risk and would buy it again and recommend the product. BTW the online support is excellent

Busy in charge of the body

I need to be charged before this power meter is used there was every time. Even if the various settings in Garmin, detailed the numbers do not appear in the Garmin. Only rough watt of numerical value is displayed. Busy in charge of the body

Versatile Power Meter

5

Initial impressions are a versatile power meter that is easily transferred between bikes. Setting up and calibrating the PowerPod for up to 4 bikes is straight forward in conjuction with the Issac software as long as you have different Ant+ speed sensors on each one. After a couple of rides to allow the system to settle the power readings seem reasonable although I don't have a direct power meter to compare against. The only issue I had was that the Garmin GSC-10 combined speed & cadence sensor on one of my bikes wouldn't give a reliable speed reading so I had to swap it out for a front wheel mounted sensor.

Finally!

A power meter that doesn't break the bank, is very accurate and can be removed in 5 seconds. My setup took longer than I thought, but if I would have followed the directions exactly as printed, it would have taken half as long. I compared the pod to my powertap wheel and I am very impressed with the results against my "standard". I highly recommend this unit and I am showing my fellow cyclists on every ride. The powerpod pairs nicely with my Garmin 1000.
