eye catching bright

I bike a main road every day to work and have noticed a big difference with the distance given to me by cars as they pass. The only thing I've changed on the bike is the rear light. This light definitely helps me feel safer on the road.

Seriously bright

My club midweek evening TT's have a regulation that all riders have to have a rear light, but some people have the tiniest micro lights and I think they're completely pointless - they comply with the regulations, but are complete waste of time.
I wanted a light which would be visible even in daylight, or in low-sun conditions, let alone at dusk - I want to do all I can to minimise the risk of some half-asleep driver hitting me

This light is small, light and seriously bright - I also have a Smart 1/2watt and it's significantly brighter than that.

I have seen comments from others though, saying that it's not well water-sealed at all : not the same issue on my TT bike as it would be on a Winter commuter, but if I'm going to do a wet TT I'll take the precaution of smothering it in clingfilm

Very good light but a few issues

3

I really like these lights too however I have also had trouble with water causing issues. Tried to dry one out in the microwave - big mistake. My solution is to cover the light in a clear plastic bag. The other trouble I have had is the lights falling off - have lost two this way - my solution to this is to cable tie them to the mount.

Great when they work!

These lights are very bright, when in a group, I often have the brightest tail!

My gripe with these lights seem to be a problem with them in the wet. The first one i bought would either not turn on or would come on by itself. Because I was so impressed with hjow bright it was for the price, I bought another one. It too has the same problem. When it gets wet (even if it is not raining and just gets wet from the tyre flicking up water), it will turn of or turn from flashing to constant all on its own. Or in the middle of the night it will turn on and flatten the battery.

I am guessing that water enters where the switch is (on the lower side where water is flicked up by the tyre).

Despite two different lights malfunctioning in the same way. I keep persisting with them because they are so bright.

If you live where it never rains, this light is great!

Good value!

I actually own one of these because some poor bugger lost theirs on the side of the road! (and I had a spare bracket that worked!). Great light, well made, well sealed and offers a very visible focal beam directly backward unlike a lot of basic rear flashers
