When you pack your bike into a soft bike bag or bike case it’s super important to have drop out protectors to space out your front fork and rear section of the bike (where you would normally find your wheels).
Avoid the forks or the rear triangle being pushed in and damaged with the Scicon Dropout Spacer Kit.
Made from CNC machined Aluminum and including original Scicon QR skewers to hold the spacers in place, the Dropout Spacer Kit is long lasting and the best protection you can get to protect your bike.

These dropout spacers are sturdy, relatively light-weight, and help provide peace of mind while as you hand a bike bag over to airline luggage handlers. Just what you need.
Scicon Dropout Spacers
These are perfect for reinforcing your bike frame when packed by bracing the fork and the rear tips. This will prevent side loads from cracking your frame because unbraced forks or rear dropouts are easily flexed too far inwards either cracking the fork crown or the wishbone area of the seat stays or even the BB area of the chain stays. This shouldn't be news to any seasoned racer or traveler. I previously used my own home made spacers. A track axle with spacers, or an old hub and skewer, for the rear. For the fork, I used the plastic fork spacers that come with new forks. These worked well enough but these spacers from Scicon are more secure and the skewer lever can be locked so it faces down and help give some clearance between the ground and the rear derailleur. They are also quite light being made of alloy. Lighter than my own creations.
