5Simply put, these wheels get it done. I have two pairs, one on my Colnago with 11 Spd Record, the other set are on my Tommasini with 12 Spd Super record. Both bikes were originally built using Zonda wheel sets. The handling and performance was immediately realized in the first few miles. I'm not a professional bike racer, but I am a former Cat 2 racer, and a multiple time district champion. I run a small shop out of my home and have had the pleasure to work on, ride, and build just about any wheels on the market during the past 30 years. You will not get any better performance for dollar spent than Shamals.

5Fantastic wheelset at a great price. The wheels are perfectly true, round and balanced. They roll like a dream and are the quietest wheels I’ve ever owned. I’ve paid more and gotten less. Highly recommended!

5Everyone is riding Kyseriums because they are light. Well if you're good sized and ride fairly hard, The Mavic wheels don't hold up all that well. The Shamal's are a little lighter (not enough to mention) and so far they have been extremely reliable. I don't like carbon braking surfaces. So these aluminum wheels are just great. Unless it's raining, they brake every bit as good as disks. Without the added complication.

5I bought these wheels for use on mountain roads to avoid the risks arising from the effect of side winds on deeper sections rims. These wheels are light and very stiff, the bearings run smoothly and there’s none of the noise characteristic of carbon rims. Added to which PBK’s price was the most competitive I found and delivery was prompt, well packed and exactly as described.

5I have had this wheelset for over 4 years now. I live in NYC and the roads here are far less than perfect. With close to 20K+ miles on them, they have continually run smooth with nary a wobble or any trueing. I have had 3 sets of wheels from another well known manufacturer, and I can't say the same thing. They were consistently troublesome. The Shamals are great wheelset where you can't go wrong spending your money.

5I rode a set of Campagnolo Shamal 2-wayfit's for 12 years and wanted to try a set of carbon wheels. I also wanted a pair of wheels that were a little easier to mount tires by hand. After looking and researching and shopping around I was almost ready to pull the trigger on a wheelset from one of the better known Chinese builders but I couldn't quiet shake some nagging concerns. I don't race but I ride at a good pace and like climbing and I don't relish questioning the integrity of my wheels doing 45-50mph downhill. I don't run tubeless and when I found out that getting tires on the non-2-wayfit version was easier then the version of Shamal's I had I took advantage of ProBike's great pricing for a set. The box they came in was a wreak but the wheels were fine. I took very good care of my previous set and even though they look similar the new pair rolled much better. Much Better!! While they not super aero they are much more so then a box section wheel and they are light! You have to spend 3 times as much to get lighter wheels and these are bullet-proof. My first pair went 12 years and I never had to true them. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. If you don't race and just want a fast pair of reliable and very light wheels, these are the best set of wheels made. The are awesome!

5I wasn't sure about spending this much -- even with the savings over list price -- for a set of wheels, but these are amazing. They more than live up to the billing while also offering me the long-term durability of metal.

5This is the 2nd set of Shamal Ultras. Wore out my first. Magnificent wheels. Perfectly true. Ultra smooth bearings. Weight is equivalent to a lot of carbon clinchers. Probably the best alu wheels money can buy. Other than for looks, carbon clinchers don't make sense when you can get these wheels for so much cheaper. They are my go to training and wet weather wheels when I don't want to use my tubs. No sign of water and grit ingress despite the conditions I use them in. As usual, Probikekit has the best price and delivers quickly.
