The classic Continental Grand Prix has been updated. Still handmade in Germany, this tyre marks the trend towards wider tyres which roll easier, last longer and offer more comfort and grip. At 24mm this Grand Prix is wide enough to take advantage of that, but still light and slim. The Black Chili compound rubber offers more grip, reduced rolling resistance and increased mileage over previous compounds.

Key Features:

  • This is a 24mm folding clincher 700c tyre.
  • A clincher tyre will only fit on a clincher compatible rim.
  • Puncture resistance: Poly-X-Breaker Internal belt.
  • Max pressure: 120psi.
  • Intended use: Racing/training.
  • Weight: 226g (PBK Office Scales).

Please note: tyres, including tubulars are covered for warranty against manufacturing defects only.

Damage caused by incorrect fitting, debris, solvents, UV damage, or wear and tear are not covered.

While puncture protection increases the tyre's protection against punctures the likelihood of puncturing is merely reduced, there is still a possibility of puncturing and no tyre is 'puncture proof'.

Orders need to be deemed for personal use only. Large orders deemed to be for resale, trade use or club resale will not be honoured. Large orders for 10 or more tyres may incur additional postage charges at the discretion of Probikekit Limited.

fantastic tyres!

Have done about 1500kms on these tyres after upgrading from maxxis detonators and the difference is amazing! the grip in the corners is superb and they roll incredibly fast with a smooth ride (even on an alloy bike) the grip in the wet is also great through corners and in braking. no problems with punctures at all even on rougher roads. overall these are a great tyre! if you are considering the GP4000s then try these as they are cheaper and just as great!

Great tyre

I've run several brands of tyres from Specialized, Vittoria, and even Conti GP4000s. I love these tyres, they wear well, have good puncture resistance, and provide a good road feel. They provide a comfortable ride with out feeling flat or low. The rolling resistance is supurb when inflated to 80 PSI in the front and 90 PSI in the rear, supporting my 155 pound frame nicely.

Excellent Tyre

Can't fault these tyres at all. I'm confident to swing my bike about noing that id tip over before they'd slip!

I reckon i've done a good 500miles and no flats!

Great tyre - long lasting, puncture resistant

Just moved onto these tyres late last year from slicks. They roll very nicely, and have had no problems with punctures nor are the tyres degrading as fast as my last set. Great training tyre for most weather conditions - good in the wet! Could probably race in them as well but I haven't. Yet.

Very Impressed all around!

Bought twin pack with tubes included from probikekit for a very good price. Great deal! Received order within 8 business days. Tires went on easily on Shimano rims. I ride a Cervelo 09 S1.
I am comparing these tires to Vittoria Pro Slicks, and Michelin Pro 3's. Compared to the Vitt's they are stickier on corners, ride is much smoother, and seem to roll as well. Compared to Michelin Pro 3's the ride is smoother, the cornering in better, and seem to roll as fast. They really smooth out my aluminum bike and I am very happy with my purchase and would buy again.
I have only put @200 miles on the tires and will comment again when I reach 3000 miles.

Great Tire

In my 30 years of riding and racing, I have decided that Continental tires are the only "premium" clincher that is really worth the premium price.
These 24 mm Grand Prix's are my favourite, just because the 23mm seems too narrow and 25mm seems too wide.

I would take ANY MODEL Conti over any other brand.

good tires, similar feel to GP4000 23mm

I bought the bundle when it was on discount and put them on a training bike. I've found they have the durability of the GP4000 23mm and may feel a bit more cushier, but that might be more psychological than anything else. Anyhow, great value.

Great All round option

Roll great, stick to the surface with none of the Gatorskin wet weather issues. So far done about 1500kms and still have the mould seam on the front, so appear to wear well with the extra mm in rubber.

Good all around tyre

I was looking at a couple of different contis (GP4000s and GP 4 Season) before I came across these at a great price. I purchased the original GPs (24mm) and I believe I made a good decision. No issues with weak sidewalls, though I think Continental fixed that issue years ago, and they seem to be wearing quite well after 1k miles.
