No flat

For the price, this tire combine durability and lightness. I did not have a flat in one summer of use. It's great.

Great tire

Only tire I will use. 99% of my miles comes from bike commuting in MN. These tires usually last me about a year, 6-7,000 miles before I start to get flats. I love them, but expensive.

I really like these GatorSkins

My bike came with 23c Duranos and they rode rough. I was told that these Conti GatorSkin 25c's would be a hot set up for me as I weigh 210+lbs and I tend to ride in the trash a bit. These tires only flatted once and that was my fault as I hit a fairly big rock when desending at speed. The only other issue was a thorn flat but upon inspection the tire was worn out so I can't blame the tire for me riding it past it's useful service life. i'm on Conti GP4000s now and I like the GatorSkins just as well and the GP4000's are leaving me flatted every other ride at this point, so it will be back to the GatorSkins very soon.

Best overall road tire.

I have used these the 700-23C tires on my training bike for a while, although they are a fair bit heavier than race tires and much more rigid, I have had zero flats in 2000 kms. The tread life also seems good.

These tires are starting to show their age though, with faded logos and slight cuts in the tire.

If you do purchase these tires I would recommend topping them off with air once a week to prevent pinch flats. By doing so you will encounter zero flats!

Excellent

The only downside to these tires? They last forever! I'm just hoping one of them will die just so I can get a new set... Used mostly for winter training and commuting, they've seen everything: dirt, gravel, glass, potholes, you name it... So far they haven't found their nemesis.

Swear by these tires

In almost 3000 miles, I have yet to get a puncture flat on the road. While I am cautious about going over glass and gravel on the road, I can remain confident that my tires will hold up.

What a tyre - Gators are great

These tyres are the best tyres if you sick and tied of flats and tyres wearing out to quickly. They are super grippy and last a very long time. I am yet to get a flat with these tyres - you will get 1000's of km's out of them which is fantastic.

I just cant find a better training clincher

Gators are like wearing two condoms, bit over the top but as safe as you can get!
Lets face it you never want to get flats and with Gators, unless you are silly you never will.
Commute or training, I race on tubs, but where I have had big cross winds I have run them in races and they do fine (well... better than I do in big cross winds!)

Bomber tires for commuting

I've put on over 2000 miles on these tires so far and haven't had a single flat. They're totally bomber.

Grips/Corners well, not as durable as advertised.

This tire grips very well and works well under wet conditions. It just isn't as durable as I had hoped. Granted, I do ride on busy streets most of the time, but the Michelin Krylions perform just fine on those same streets. My main issue with these is the sidewall. Most of my problems have come from small nicks or tears in the sidewall. A few things have cut the tire, and I've hosed a set of these tires in 1,500 miles or less. Krylions last me about 4,000. Panaracer T-servs usually get up to 5. I think continental is really really close to a 4/5 star tire, just not there yet. And the advertising I am talking about isn't from PBK. It's the local bike shops and local riders mostly.
