Good!

Very nice pedals with a wide range of adjustment, I personally like them as tight as possible and these can get very very solid.

excellent pedals

I changed to the look classic from Spd which were great. Wow, the first time I clipped into the look classic was a revelation! Did not have adjust at all just perfect. No more close calls when attempting to unclip, the look classic pedals are a fantastic product all round, look no further...buy them!

What's not to like?!

5

I bought these pedals for my mountain bike, which I only ever ride on the road, plus I never really got on with my existing SPD pedals and had always remembered having a hassle-free experience when using Look products; so I took the plunge, made the switch and basically haven't looked back. The last pair of Look road pedals that I'd purchased harked back to the glory days of Le Mond and Hinault! So I was intrigued to find out how things had developed, and was pleasantly surprised to see that – although the design had been refined over the years – the fit and feel were as good as I remembered. The Keo system is pretty much of the same design ethos as the original Delta, with just a few nips and tucks here and there. Mine were packaged with the grey cleats, which give you 4.5 degrees of float, if this isn't enough for you then go for the red version which give 9 degrees, or opt for the zero degree black cleats if you're looking for a more rigid and uncompromising fit. Considering the Keo Classics are very much entry level pedals, I found them to be well made and fairly light for the price, if you're a particularly heavy rider, say 16st + then I'd probably look for something a little more robust, but all in all I'm very pleased with them.

Starting Point for Good Pedals

4

Whilst I would love to have double sided entry pedals, like Speedplay, quite frankly I can't afford them especially as I have several road bikes. These pedals are fairly light but solid. I have covered thousands of miles with each set and have had absolutely no issue with any of them. The downside with the likes of the Look pedals as I have mentioned above is the difficulty there is sometimes in getting your foot into the pedal without constantly having to look down. It is quite easy to miss entry just a little and the pedal starts spinning with luck then whether you are trying to insert your cleat into the bottom or the top. Practice does help but I still can't always get it right. I have Crank Brothers on my mountain bike and have no such issue. Anyway, for the price, they are still good pedals.

low weight and reliability

5

Look's Keo has won our Editors' Choice award a few times. We love its support and stability, ease of use, low weight and reliability, mile after mile. Despite the price spread, all Keos use the same cleat and bearing setup, and on the bike it's almost impossible to differentiate between the Keo models, in most cases. The Classic uses the lowest-cost materials. It's the heaviest Keo, at 280 grams a pair and it has the least stiff body. Though it doesn't affect price, the Classic has the lowest spring tension settings, so it's very easy for newcomers to use clipless.

smooth as the day we put them on

4

We've been running a set of these for months, right through the winter, and despite zero maintenance they’re as smooth as the day we put them on.The oversized steel axles spin on roller and needle bearings and they’re well sealed against the elements. The composite pedal body has a large enough surface area to provide plenty of stability as you pedal, while a wide adjustment range allows you to set the cleat entry/release tension exactly how you want it.

Great Simplistic Pedal

4

So easy to clip in and out of, compared to the KEO MAX 2 version, which I also own. Because of this ease of release, they make a great 'starter' pedal for cyclists not used to 'clip-in' pedals. I have used these for probably a 1000 miles now, with no squeaks or bearings issues. Also, the red version look great on my bike. Highly recommended

Very reliable, excellent value

5

I have been using these pedals for over 2 years now on 2 different bikes. They are very reliable, and do not require cleaning (unless you're in a mudfest). They make a distinctive 'click' to let you know that you're clipped in. Not that heavy, and an excellent value for the money.
