I have been riding Look clipless pedals since they first entered the market, in the late 80's. Look has always been design leaders, that produce a comfortable "delta" platform. Their one weakness was always their bearings. The seals in those early pedals were pretty poor, causing rust and notching on the races. That weakness has been addressed, with later models, with higher quality spec'd bearings. The main issues with this incarnation of Look clipless, is the lifecycle of the cleat. The KEO 2 cleats are easily worn out, and don't last if you forgo the cleat walking covers, and tromp around in them much. Expect to change them at least every year. This version of the Keo pedal, is refined, light, smooth and beautiful to "look" at. The carbon sprung retention, has a little less linear feel than the steel sprung back plate of old. It's a more progressive feel, starting easy then getting hard, fairly quickly. Makes getting in or out feel a bit sketchy sometimes. Also the pedal is so light, that they are no longer very tail heavy. Keeping the tips pointing up, to easily hook in the cleat toe, then step down. So you might have to manually tap the pedal into an optimal entry position. Are they perfect? - No. (see cleat toughness, tail weight for entry) Are the comfortable, stylish, light, earo and smooth spinning? Check I recommend them. There are scores of other options, than when I bought my first clipless in 1987. But these are by far, my most favourite "look"-ing pedal, currently on the market. *My pedal uses the 16KN retention spring. Go lighter force, if you are concerned.

I have been using look pedals since 1983. first pair was the white delta type a la "the badger". switched to keo's the 2nd year they were available and now use the keo blade 2 CR. I have 2 pair of the 16 resistance and just purchased a pair of the yellow which should be more the adequate. I am 5'-8" and weigh 131 lb...oh ya...66 years old.

Pedals

The pedals are great, they took almost 30 days to get here. Maybe packing & sending them in a vitamin box wasn't such a great idea tho,I think they spent most of their time at customs being checked.

Very good performance

Very secure. Quiet, with a very distinctive click when engaged in. I went for the 16nm Spring, which is a bit on the high side coming from old keo2max's. Disengaging takes a bit more force, and I find that I am 'planning' the disengagement more when stopping. They have the small 'bump' on the outer side, which feels a bit sharp when my leg touches it. Nothing major, does not hurt the leg, but a difference from old keos (which had no such bump). Very happy with them. Would recommend.

Look Keo Blade 2 CR

A much improved and altogether more solid design in a neat and compact package, worth the upgrade from the original Keo Blades which did have some durability issues

Fine pedals

Have always used Look pedals for racing and my old carbon ones were heavily worn down on the outer side of the pedal. Got the 12Nm tension blades and although I'm only lightweight at no more than 58kgs these pedals are delightfully easy to click into and probably the best I've used to click out of with a reassuring loud click and a feeling of good support when clipped in. I like the thin stainless steel plate on the platform which should stop the heavy wear that I unexpectedly found on my last pedals - which I'd had for a good few years. It's fair to say that these pedals have impressed me so far.

I have used the Look Pedals. The Kéo Blade 2 is a more reassuring, more stable, lighter and more powerful than keo2 Max
