Great if you're racing on clinchers!

5

I use these with my Michelin Pro3s. I can definitely tell a difference between these and buytl tubes (non-ultra light ones), but I can barely tell a difference from Vittoria's tubulars. They do make the ride more comfortable, and I would buy them again if I was racing on clinchers.

Pros:
-easy to patch (save your used latex tubes and use them as patches!)

Cons:
-can be pricey

Luxurious Tubes

5

Price is not the Aircomp Latex tube's strong point. However, the tubes are noticeably more plush than butyl and seemingly faster. Compared to other latex tubes the Michelins seem to have better consistency. Some other brand's latex tubes have thin spots that lead to faster than normal deflation.

Latex tubes are a lot more expensive, they are easily patchable, and they deflate much faster than butyl. However, they are a joy to ride; they really are noticeably more plush.

Whether or not the extra hassle and expense is worth the plush, fast ride of the Aircomp Latex tubes is up to you. But, if you do decide to go with latex tubes, the Aircomps are superior and they will not disappoint.

Good..... but fail easily

3

I have use these for some period with moderate success... The benefits of weight saving and puncture resistance are somewhat offset by the failure of the valve to tube joining point. This happens without warning and always when the tyre pressure is being checked. No amount of gentleness when inflating tyres has extended the life of these inner tubes, and I only use 110psi MAX..... Oh, get ready to constantly inflate the tyres before EVERY ride.... they leak - thats latex for you

A cost effective upgrade...

4

With careful installation and proper tire pressure maintenance, these tubes last forever. 2000km and still going strong. Durable, light weight, extremely comfortable, and lower rolling resistance. An especially nice ride when paired with high end tires from Veloflex, Vittoria, and Continental.

good buy

Makes for a very comfortable ride. Be careful not to over-inflate prior to fitting the tire as it will easily lead to a pinch flat.
