The Sportful Fiandre Extreme Neoshell® thermal jacket is designed to keep you warm in winter conditions 10° and colder. Constructed from mid-weight Polartec Neoshell® fabric, the jacket is breathable, warm and completely waterproof to keep you protected while the stretchy fit offers full freedom of movement.
Complete with a waterproof YKK Vislon® zipper, three external rear pockets and reflective detail to the reverse for increased visibility in low light conditions. – A.D.

Spring summer wear
Great item,keeps you dry in heavy rain although at first I thought it was not repelling 100% of the rain but then I realised the dampness inside was my sweat.It s extremely comfortable and washes well.I live in Scotland so I would not choose this for winter wear,something with an inner warmth would be required but this item is wind proof and it breathes well.I am a size 40 inch ie size large chest for shirts etc and 34 inch waist I'm 5ft 10in tall ,this item I purchased in XL to find that I manage to wear a base layer underneath but if I wanted to layer more than that I would have to go up another size to XXL.This item looks really PRO it's slick has a great and very strong zip and pockets at back.I recommend it highly.

First impressions good!
I wore this jacket for the first time on Saturday for a 130 mile Audax in NE England. The conditions were horrible raining heavily for 80% of the time at 7 - 8 degrees Celcius. I left my rain jacket at home and wore just a short sleeve merino top underneath and hoped the Neoshell would do what it said it should. When we got to the first cafe my base layer was still dry unlike my gloves and feet! Although we weren't hammering it the breathability seemed really good and never felt like sweat was building up on the inside. My previous jacket was a Pearl Izumi PRO 180 softshell and after an hour of riding this starts to let water through (although admittedly I've had it for a couple of years) and starts to get very heavy with water. The breathability isn't as good on the 180 and the material is noticeably thicker than the Neoshell. The last part of the ride was two hours into a 20 mph headwind in the dark with heavy rain. Maybe some moisture got in at this point but I was so wet it was hard to tell from where. Maybe at the neck. It's not cheap but on days like that its more than worth it. In short I was very impressed and I hope the material performance stays this good after I've given it a Nikwax.
