The Castelli ‘Velocissimo 2’ bib tights are an all-purpose pair of bib tights designed to offer an outstanding aerodynamic performance, temperature regulation and muscle compression. They are built to support you in your cycling performance whether gearing up for the cyclocross season or you are already focused on building a base for next year.
Crafted from Castelli’s innovative Thermoflex fabric, the bib tights are stretchy for a streamlined fit and fleecy inside to trap a warm layer of air close to your skin. The ‘Velocissimo 2’ bib tights are fitted with a KISS Air seat pad which features a multi-density foam filling and a super soft, brushed microfibre top that guarantees unrivalled cushioning, comfort and support from start to finish.
Mesh bib straps provide superior ventilation and breathability while GIRO³ ankle grippers lie flat and and seal around the shoe cover. Castelli Bib 5
I have not worn these bib tights yet owing to a broken hip but wanted to replace the ones cut off my when I had my accident. The disoount was very good and the quality appears very good too. Whether they are a good winter tight is yet to be proven. One thing I would say is that Castelli sizing is way out. I am a medium so ordered large. Large was too small as was extra large. Ended up with extra extra large that feels just about right.
Top quality bib tights
I am extremely pleased with the Castelli Velocissimo 2 thermal bib tights.The quality of the materials is excellent and they are very comfortable to wear, keeping me warm on cold mornings. The pad is a good size, not too big, and is comfortable on long & short rides. The ankle grippers work well. The logos look good and are a good size, not too big And bold. The XXXL fits me well and I am 201cm (6'7") tall and weigh 102 kg. I would recommend these bib tights to other tall riders.
