Great Bib

Great bib shorts. Super comfortable pad and grippers Size is perfect.. Normally a small and 30 waist in most English clothing. Build is slim with an decent shape. so the medium castelli is spot on. Great price for the quality. This is my second pair so know they wash well and last a food duration.. Highly recommended.

Castelli Free Aero Bib Shorts

This is my second extra-discounted pair of Free Aero Bib Shorts from Probikekit. I had been wearing dhb Aeron Pro Cycling Bib Shorts but was still getting a sore backside on 50+ mile rides. I liked the Progetto X2 pad on my winter Sorpasso bib tights so went for the same with the shorts. I'm small in Aeron Pro, medium in Free Aero. Went for Black as less flashy. I do find that they get snagged on the nose of the saddle having been out of the saddle, more so with Sorpasso tights, which is annoying.

Comfort at last!

I bought these on special (of course) to prepare for a couple of long rides. The chamois is a bit bulky, but very comfortable on the rides so far. No more sore sit bones! Have yet to try a 4 hour ride, but they feel much better than my usual Nalini kit. I ordered XXL rather than usual XL because the sizes are a bit tight - and they fit well. Very good finish - quality of garment is tops. Perhaps the shoulder straps could be a bit wider.

uncomfortable - no room in the crotch!

This is the first Castelli product I've had that I'm genuinely disappointed with, it's almost unusable because the cut of the fabric at the crotch leaves little room for your bits and pieces, it's instantly uncomfortable. This is quite regrettable and seems to be the result of the unusual cut (visible more clearly in photographs of the black and white version) rather than the chamois, which looks very similar if not identical to other high end Castelli bibs. I have the Body Paint 2.0 as well as the San Remo skinsuit in the same size, and some Castelli Garmin bibs in one size smaller, and none suffers this problem - both are comfortable and leave sufficient room for a mans equipment down there. Sizing other than for the issue at the crotch, seems spot on. Beyond that, the sizing seems true and the compression is good (something I prize in a pair of bibs). Quality of materials seems excellent with the exception of the Castelli red dots that start disintegrating at the first washing and seem to be as reluctant to come off completely as they are to stay on completely. Under the circumstances, I feel I'm perhaps being overly generous with a two star rating as these are unusable for any but the shortest rides, however I have to give some credit for the overall quality of construction. I'll have to take Castelli's word for it that there are gents out there whose needs in the tackle accommodation department are sufficiently modest to make use of these shorts.

Very comfy & top quality - good for all day ride

I've worn these on several long rides (5+ hours) and they are sensational. The chamois is very comfortable and there is absolutely no rubbing. By far the best bibs I've had & these are the go to ones for a tough day. Most importantly, the boys are happy.
Good fabric as well - helps regulate the heat, especially on a 35 degree day on a 15k hill climb.
I went for the large size - snug fit but very supportive, and a great fit.
Well worth the money - I'll be getting another pair.

perfect for the hill rides

First time user of the Castelli Bib shorts and i must admit they are Fantastic. First ride was a 145km hill ride in the Perth Australian Hills and normally my bum is killing me at the end of it but to be honest it felt like i drove it in a car!! love them. Thinking about another pair so these don't get thrashed.. If you have Large legs may think of going up a size as they are tight!

Top quality shorts

These are top quality shorts. They are well constructed and the seat pad is the most comfortable I've encountered. Well worth the purchase price.

High quality comfort

These bibshorts are the best I can find. Not cheap but worth it for the guaranteed comfort. Styling is not fussy which I like. These are my go to bibs for long rides.
Can't tell the difference in the pad and grips in the 2012 version against 2011
