Outstanding patches
What a brilliant little package of patches to fix a puncture fast. So much easier to apply them, and they do stay airtight for the life of the tube it seems. Why carry an outdated puncture repair outfit around with you when you can put one of these tiny wallets in your pocket? It's a no brainer.
not as good as expected
Used a patch as per instructions, after 100ks on road racer 110psi patch leaked, used another to cover leak it too leaked after 30ks. Had to swap tube to get home. May be good for lower pressure tubes but only short relief for higher pressure tyres. May get you out of trouble for a short ride but reccomend using a contact glue patch or change patch and or tube when you get home after using these patches.
Good value, effective and stylish take on the humble puncture repair kit 10/10
The Lezyne Smart kit is simple — rough up the punctured area and simply stick the self-adhesive, expandable patch over the top. No problems there. Coming with six 3M patches, a scuffer and an emergency tyre boot, you can’t fault these patches.
So far, the repaired inner tube is still going strong weeks after the repair and they also kept an inflatable bed, er, inflated so they get the thumbs up here. A clear plastic pouch should keep the patches together and will take up no space at all in your saddlebag.
